Frauenkirche
The Frauenkirche (Cathedral of Our Blessed Lady) is the
largest church in Munich, the capital city of Bavaria. I
took this view from the tower of another church called St.
Peter's.
Schloss Piber
In June 2003 I visited an exhibition about the myth of
horses in Piber Palace. This Palace was placed next to the
stud Piber where the Lipizzaner for the Spanish Riding
School in Vienna raise up.
Lipizzaner
During a stay at
stud
farm Lipica I came across the 'white' Lipizzaner.
Actually Lipizzaner are born dark and become lighter each
year as the greying process takes place.
Stud Lipica
In May 2003 I visited the Stud Lipica in Slovenia near the
Italian border. Until 1915 the horses of the Spanish Riding
School (Vienna) had raised up here before they moved to Stud
Piber in Styria.
Schloss Neuhaus
In Paderborn I visited a very nice palace in the style of the Weser
Renaissance.
Tucher Palace
The Tucher Palace was build between 1533
and 1544 and served as summer residence of the Tuchers,
a Nuremberg patrician family.
Strechau Castle
The castle next to Lassing is one of the largest castles of the Austrian
province Styria and dates
back to 11th century.
Mansion house Kemnade
During my visit the
mansion house Kemnade offers a collection of musical
instruments and pieces from Eastern Asia.
Roman Fort Biriciana
During my tour on the traces of the
Romans I also dropped by the reconstructed gate
tower of the Roman fort Biriciana in Weißenburg.
Main Railway Station Graz
In the year 2003 Graz was
European Capital of Culture and
the main railway station of Graz got a new interior decoration.
